COVID-19 Exposure at Lyneham High School

COVID-19 Exposure at Lyneham High School

A person with COVID-19 was at our school during the time that they may have been infectious to others on:

  • 16 November 2021
  • 17 November 2021
  • 18 November 2021

Years 9 and 10 students must now stay at home on Wednesday 24 November.

Years 7 and 8 students can continue to attend school.

ACT Health is working with our school to assess the situation. This includes tracing where the person went and who they may have had contact with during these times.

ACT Health will then phone or message everyone who is identified as having an exposure to ask them to quarantine and get tested. These messages are expected to be sent tomorrow morning (Wednesday 24 November).

If you are contacted by ACT Health you will need to follow all instructions about testing and quarantine. Students and staff cannot attend school while required to be in quarantine.

If you are not contacted by ACT Health you do not need to quarantine or get tested. Once ACT Health has contacted everyone who might have been exposed, another letter will be sent out informing you that this process has been completed. If you have not been contacted by ACT Health directly, then you can resume your normal activities.

ACT Health encourages everyone to continue to monitor closely for symptoms of COVID-19. If anyone in your home has symptoms of COVID-19, no matter how mild, get them tested immediately at one of the ACT COVID-19 testing sites.

Anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 must not attend school.
