School/Parent Contact
There are several channels of communication between school and home.
- MyClasses
- Parent Teacher Evenings
- Newsletters
- Telephone
Parents who are concerned about any aspect of their child’s life at school are invited to phone to make an appointment for a personal interview.
Parents are notified via email each month when Newsletters are available on the webpage. Parents without the internet are requested to collect a hard copy from the Front Office. Parents are responsible to notify the Front office when contact details change info@lynehamhs.act.edu.au
Messages to Students
-
Messages are delivered to students during the day only in a case of an emergency.
-
It is also difficult to locate individual students during recess and lunchtimes.
-
Students may use the school phones in important and / or urgent circumstances. In such cases they should make their request to a teacher or at the Front Office.
- Students are not to use mobile phones at school. See Mobile Phone Policy.
It is compulsory for all Year 8 students to take a turn as “Runner” for a day. Students assist in delivering messages from staff and parents throughout out the school.
Visits to Students
-
The School does not permit social visits to students on the premises.
-
All visitors to the School must present themselves to Reception where arrangements to contact a student may be made.
-
All visits will take place in the Front Office Foyer of the School.
