Security at School
Security of Property
- Students are responsible for the security of their own property. Students should not bring valuables or large sums of money to school. If it is necessary to bring a large sum of money to school, it should be handed in for safekeeping to the Front Office. Money should not be left in bags or lockers.
- Students are encouraged to place items in the “Security Box” during PE.
Any student interfering with another student’s property will be dealt with severely. This may include police action.
Items Not Allowed at School
- Items such as knives, matches, cigarette lighters, cigarettes, fireworks and any other potentially dangerous items will be confiscated on sight. It is illegal for school age children to have either fireworks or blades of any sort in their possession. In situations where personal safety is breached the police may be contacted.
- Radios, iPods mobile phones, walkmans and other electronic equipment as well as pressure packs/aerosol sprays, including spray deodorants are not to be brought to school.
- Students must not bring skateboards and/or roller blades to school as they increase the likelihood of accidents and may be lost, stolen or damaged.
If brought to school they will be confiscated for (at least) the day and may be retained until collected by parents.
